| Class 201: Discovering Spiritual Maturity |
In this three--hour class we will focus on the FOUR BASIC HABITS every Christian needs to develop in order to grow to spiritual maturity – (1) The habit of TIME in prayer and with his Word, (2) the habit of TITHING and giving, (3) the habit of FELLOWSHIP and enjoying God’s family, and(4) the habit of REACHING OUT. The class will equip you with skills you will need to begin these habits and will explain the tools you need to continue these habits. At the end of the class, we will invite you to sign a Maturity Covenant as a pledge before God that you will continue to develop the habits of praying and studying God’s word, tithing, fellowshipping, and in reaching out in evangelism and missions. The Maturity core values are: 1. "A Daily TIME with the Lord" • Setting aside a specific time daily for the Lord • Choosing a safe place which promotes privacy and intimacy • Cultivate the right attitude in coming before the Father 2. "A Monthly TITHE to the Lord" • Giving willingly and cheerfully • Give sacrificially • Give expectantly 3. "A Discipleship TEAM to Grow With" • Committing to a small / cell group to grow in maturity • Submitting to a small / cell group for accountability in life and ministry • Contributing to the success of the small / cell group by faithful participation 4. "A TASK to Accomplish" • Sharing the Gospel with friends, relatives, and neighbours • Serving in the community work & projects • Adopting a people's group to pray for and to invest in Father's Heart SeminarIf the Encounter Weekend had begun a work in your life then this seminar will further help you in your encountering with the presence of Father God. The world in which we live is in increasing crisis. Morals and values continually decline, and the true meaning of love, intimacy and family is even more distorted. It's time to return to our roots, to the Father's heart, to the place of intimacy with our Creator, receiving his love and giving it away. Truly we can only give away that which we ourselves have received.Topics covered: 1. Receiving Father's Love 2. Father and Mother Issues 3. Heart Forgiveness 4. Ungodly Beliefs 5. Pitfalls for Leaders 6. Ministry from Intimacy 7. From orphans to Sons and Daughters 8. Imparting Father's Love FGA Centre works closely with Father's Heart Ministry Team in Penang. |
